Winemaking and ageing

The 'Sélection de Grains Nobles' is a label that is rare and prestigious for Alsatian wines. Prepared by the wine grower, it only applies to wines coming from exceptional harvests. The grapes are brought to the cellar whole and overripe (a noble fungus called botrytis has developed causing the grape juice to concentrate and be very sweet.) Fermentation is slow and done at 13°C. |
Wine description
|
An old golden colour, with seducing candied fruits perfumes. Those fine aromas remind honey in mouth, and display a smooth, powerful, rich, persistent and well balanced wine. Already agreeable, it deserves to be aged a few years.
